The Refugee and Immigrant Advisory Council (RIAC) is a dynamic organization that responds to the needs of refugees and immigrants in Newfoundland and Labrador. Working within our community to create a safe space where newcomers can access reliable information and comprehensive support, RIAC is dedicated to listening to the needs of this community and offering viable solutions.

RIAC is a registered charity and not-for-profit. The group was established in 1986 and was later incorporated in 1997. In addition to a number of ongoing support and outreach projects, RIAC also hosts conversation classes twice a week for individuals wishing to improve their English language skills in an informal setting.

RIAC is located within the Centre for Social Justice at 204 Water Street (just above Coffee and Company.) For more information, visit our website, feel free to call (709-754-4122), or drop by.
